This adult South African Leopard tortoise (Geochelone pardalis pardalis) is one of our larger females. She is female "L" - we call her Lydia. Lydia is approximately 60 pounds (27Kg). Each year Lydia lays 5 - 7 clutches of about 15 eggs each.
